This Privacy Policy describes the ways in which we, Kampus BuyBack, operated by FOF Technologies LLC, hold and use information about users of the Kampus BuyBack platform. Some of the data we collect, either individually or aggregated, may be considered personal. We treat this data as required by law. We comply with Norwegian Data Protection rules, and other rules and regulations when applicable, and are responsible for the treatment of data (“data controller”).


2. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

a) Personal details as submitted by you, such as name, email address or phone number when registering for use of Kampus BuyBack.

b) Data generated through transaction processes you take part in on Kampus BuyBack, such as items offered for purchase and purchase history.

c) Data generated from your use of the Kampus BuyBack platform such as your IP-address and other traffic data, for which we may use cookies and other data collection tools.


3. FOR WHICH PURPOSES DO WE USE COLLECTED INFORMATION?

The data we collect is used to:

a) To facilitate purchases between sellers and buyers on the Kampus BuyBack platform.

b) measure the use of the Kampus BuyBack platform and analyse browsing actions and patterns for statistical purposes and in order to improve our website. For these purposes, data is used in aggregated form.

c) to provide newsletters and market products and services which we think may be of interest to you. By using the site and submitting your information, you consent to such use, unless you have chosen to opt out.


4. PROCESSING AND STORAGE OF DATA

In order to protect the integrity of your data we use data networks and storage protected by standard industry security measures such as firewall and password protection. We comply with applicable laws and take reasonable measures designed to protect data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.


5. DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

We will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute data to third parties except:

a) When sharing data with affiliated companies and/or third parties who are contracted by us, for further processing in accordance with the purpose(s) for which the data were originally collected, such as services delivery, evaluating the usefulness of this website, marketing, data management or technical support. They will be obligated to only use data for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, and may disclose it to third parties only under the same protections and limitations, or as may be required by law. Information submitted solely regarding you warranty, is never shared with third parties.

b) In case the business of Business Buy Back and/or FOF Technologies LLC or a part of it and the connected customer data connected with it is sold, assigned or transferred, in which case we would require the buyer, assignee or transferee to treat all data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

c) In case we are required to do so because of applicable law, court order or governmental regulation.


6. PAYMENT PROCESSING BY STRIPE

Payment processing on the Kampus BuyBack is provided by Stripe Inc., and your information, including credit card information, is shared with Stripe Inc., and treated in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy (link).

8. YOUR RIGHT OF ACCESS AND CORRECTION

You may contact us at any time regarding our use of your information and require us to inform you what data we have stored, and you may also request correction or deletion of data. Please inform us about the specific information you would like us to correct, update or delete plus a clear identification of you. Any obligation on our part to correct, update or delete is subject to legal requirements imposed on us.


9. TRANSFER OF INFORMATION ABROAD

We may transfer data outside your country of domicile, potentially including countries which may not require the same level of protection for personal data as that provided in your country or the country in which the data is collected. By using the site and submitting your information, you consent to such transfer. However, we use reasonable measures to ensure that parties to which transfer is made, is bound by contract or other mechanisms to comply with requirements deemed adequate within the EU/EEA.


10. RETENTION PERIOD

Data is retained as long as necessary for processing as set out in this Privacy Policy, or to comply with legal requirements imposed on us. When retention of data is no longer relevant for our purposes, or legally required, we take steps to have it deleted, aggregated or made anonymous.
